Home for the Holidays

I went up to Mt. Hood with my dad the week before Christmas (we skied Timberline). In the words of the young ski patrolmen that i rode up the lift with it was an "Epic" day. My dad and I had a great time, there was a ton of fresh snow (that stayed sweet all day) and sun.

This is at the top of the Magic Mile, the lift that goes a mile above timberline. Usually its pretty crusty and wind blown up here and the weather changes about ever five minutes. While we were up there was fog/clouds, freezing fog, wind, snow and sun. Despite those changes it was some of the best snow I've ever experienced in the NW.

You can barely make out the lift behind me but thats Palmer. Totally famous, but rarely open, when I'm around.

Here is my Pops looking totally rad! Too bad he's rad. Too bad Mt. Hood is beautiful.

Totally HC. Dad on Skis me on my board.

Really glad we could get out of the clouds, Timberline might not have the steepest slopes but they offer tons of runs and still fun to "rip" around, especially when the suns out.

We headed home about 3:30 and this is the view from the parking lot. An hour and a half drive home plus some extra time for holiday traffic. Great day at the mountain sounds corny but quality time with my dad is rad and he knows a lot about snow. Looking forward to getting up again very soon.

I guess my co-workers were trying to tell me something...

So the white elephant started off well, I received a Christmas mug and a thing of instant wassail, i traded my friend for a set of three Pilates DVD's, those were stolen and here is what I ended up with....

Yeah for Fun with a capital "F"

Oh the joy's of office work, today is potluck lunch/white elephant gift party at work. This is the gift i found in the basement.
Its never been used but it would be a whole lot radder if it had.

Maggie Moo

I love coming home everyday, this is the welcome I get. But please don't pay too much attention to what I am saying... I don't want you to think less of me. (you may want to turn down the sound on your computer)
