PERU!

*WARNING* this may or may not be the longest post in the world.
I arrived in Lima at 4:00 am got through customs by 4:30 and found a spot in the airport to sit and read for the next 6 hours and wait for Jami's flight. After meeting up we headed into central Lima to see the San Fransisco Church, its got catacombs underneath.

Our first night in Lima we stayed at a sketchy hostel with a bar and disco. We slept in our clothes,
and didn't get a ton of sleep.

The next day we flew to Cuzco. Here is the view from the terrace on top of our hostel, thats the Plaza de Armas there in the center.

We decided to take a Combi (taxi mini bus thing) to Oyantatambo to catch the train to Aguas Calientes. They asked us to wait in the taxi as they recruited more riders, love being a gringo.

We woke up to catch the bus to Machu at 3:50, It rained in the night and it was pretty cool, this is us sitting on the curb eatting breakfast and waiting
*Dont tell Jami I posted this picture she hates it.
Because of the rain MP was extra cloudy and totally awesome looking.

The clouds started to clear and the day was beautiful

Got a ticket to climb Waynapicchu it over looks the city of MP we did the hike in about 25-30 mins (takes most people 45-60 Yeah good thing I'm so HC.)

Back to the city of MP

Alpaca, they make real funny sounds and real soft sweaters.

Sun Gate, Entrance to MP if you do the inca trail

Looking back from the Sun GateBack to the city

Tired, woke up at 3:50 and hiked around for 8 hours high altitude and lots of sun.
Jami and I decided to take this opertunity to snap my Senior Portrait.
Back to Cuzco to wander around the neat old neighborhoods

Machu Picchu why do your bugs hate me? Worst bug bites in the history of my life. I would wake up in the middle of the night scratching, and they got huge red and kinda black and blue.

Cuzquena beer and another amazing picture of me
View from one of our three rooms at Piccola

Hot stuff (Plaza de Armas Cuzco)

The best Hostel I've ever stayed in. The wonderful Piccola Locando, If you're ever in the neighborhood give it a try.
Our street in Cuzco. The street goes down a ways after the turn at the bottom of the picture. On our last day I slipped and fell on my ass at the bottom of these steps. In my defense the cobblestones are real old and slippery in some places and some lady walking by started telling me to be careful and some other stuff in Spanish I was laughing to hard to really understand as she was rubbing her own butt in sympathy.
This is our final hostel in Lima it was a little bit sketchy but they had this dog that wore a sweater and sat on all the couches she was pretty amazing.

Here is where I left Jami and headed back to the states alone. It was nice to come home. It was a great trip, a little short, but I don't know if I could have survived longer.
